Wine Touring

graphic

Over the years I must have taken hundreds of wine enthusiasts to vineyards as far apart as Champagne and the Cape to say nothing of Bordeaux, Burgundy and The Beaujolais, the Valleys of the Loire and Rhône, Provence and the Languedoc. I’ve even taken groups of chefs hunting truffles along the Loire in deepest winter!

For a number of years I was a wine guide with Arblaster & Clarke, the UK’s leading wine tour operator, and then I began taking smaller private groups of friends or work colleagues.

Each tour is tailor-made to meet a client’s exact needs. This includes length of time away, quality of hotels for overnight accommodation, number of producers to visit each day and above all – budget. Group sizes are critical. Obviously the more people in a group the lower the cost, but wine producers prefer to entertain groups of 25 or less.

Groups of 12 to 18 – six to eight couples – are about the minimum and I prefer to keep the overall size to no more than 24.

Simply decide where you would like to go, when and how many of you there will be, and then let’s discuss the trip.

Fees: £450 + VAT per day on tour plus a day for administration, plus expenses while on tour.
